History

Established in March 1995 in downtown Pleasanton, Barone's remains a local favorite as well as a great venue for local business dinners, rehearsal dinners, weddings and corporate events.  

Joe Barone

Joe was born and raised in San Francisco and received his formal training at the famed Alioto's #8 Restaurant on Fisherman's wharf.  For 15 years, Joe served in every aspect of the restaurant from cooking to busing tables to restaurant management.  It was there that he realized his passion for the business and hoped one day to own his own restaurant.  An opportunity occured and we took a chance and have never looked back. 

Maricela Orozco Barone

Maricela was born in Mexico and raised in Fremont, CA.  In 1985 the Orozco Family opened the Famed Casa Orozco Restaurant in Dublin, CA. Shortly thereafter in 1986 the family opened their second location in downtown Livermore.  Believing that their success hinges on a strong owner presence, Maricela and her siblings are still very active in day to day operations.  Having an affinity for design and marketing, she shares her talents across both Casa Orozco and Barone's.

Owners

Having met in 1991 and married in 1993, Joe and Maricela's dreams came true in 1995 by having the opprtunity to purchase Casanova's Restaurant in downtown Pleasanton.  After a little luck and a lot of hard work, Barone's continues to be one of Pleasanton's premier dining establishments.
